The RFID HF STINGRAY inlays and tags feature NXP ICODE SLIX and SLIX2 ICs. They are designed for all disc types: CD, DVD and Blu-ray and provide best-in-class performance and robust readability for library and rental applications. STINGRAY products, delivered in wet format, have strong adhesive properties, are reliable and have long lifetime in library and rental performance. STINGRAY with NXP ICODE SLIX provides 896 bits of user memory, while NXP ICODE SLIX2 boasts an extended user memory of 2,528 bits. The tag provides excellent and cost effective security performance products for disc media, including self-check multi-read and improved gate EAS.
The 2" × 2" RFID tags (50 mm × 50 mm) are high-frequency (13.56 MHz) labels ideal for library and media management. For example, LibraryPrint offers square HF RFID labels with the NXP ICODE SLIX2 inlay, featuring 2.5 kbit of user memory, compatibility with ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3 standards, thermal-transfer printable gloss coated paper, permanent acrylic adhesive, and approximately 2,000 labels per roll. BayScan's blank 2 × 2 tags use the NXP ICODE SLIX (SL2S2002) IC, offering 896 bits of user memory (1,024 bits total), ISO/IEC 15693 protocol, thickness of about 320 µm over the IC and 200 µm over the antenna, and reliable performance under temperature and humidity stress conditions. Identiv's 2 × 2 book labels also measure 50 × 50 mm with a 47 × 47 mm aluminum-etched antenna, use the NXP ICODE SLIX chip with 896 bits of user memory, and support features like EAS, AFI, barcode or artwork customization, with operation temperatures from -20 °C to 70 °C and robust environmental reliability.
